Rangoli - art form Rangoli is an art form, originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are drawn on the floor or the ground using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals. They are of two types first is the form dominant and the other is the ornamental. In form dominant type of rangoli, lines,circles and cones are drawn proportionately. PONGAL CELEBRATION Pongal is a harvest fesitival which is celebrated to thank sun god Surya. It is one one of my favourite festival. It is four days festival. Bhogi, main pongal, mattu pongal. The day preceding pongal is Bhogi. One the day of bhogi we used to get up early in the morning and we used to decard our old things in fire.
