MAGIC OF THE LOUVRE MUSEUM
One of the greatest monuments that I had the opportunity to visit is the Louvre museum. The Louvre is one of the many astonishing museums in Paris and definitely it tops on my list.
The Louvre is one of the largest and most diverse museums in the world. According to a guidebook, “it would take nine months to glance at every piece” inside. It is home to priceless antiquities, works of the masters and stunning architecture, including the inverted glass pyramid. Here you can find Leonardo’s Mona Lisa, crown jewels and the Napoleon III Apartments.
Approximately 38,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century are exhibited over an area of 72,735 square metres. In 2018, the Louvre was the world's most visited museum, receiving 10.2 million visitors.
The glass pyramid outside the museum is one of the many things that captured me. Some claim the pyramid to be made up of exactly 666 glass panes which is considered as ''the beast's number'' often associated with Satan. But after proper calculations it was declared that it was made up of 673 glass panes. My interest in the Louvre began even before I went to Paris. I was intrigued by it when I read the book '' The Da Vinci Code '' by Dan Brown.
If anyone visits Paris the Louvre is a must visit place. The art and sculptures displayed in the louvre are the finest in the world and lure us to keep staring at it forever.
