ARCHITECTURE- art form

                                         ARCHITECTURE- art form

Architecture is both the process and the product of planningdesigning, and constructing buildings or any other structures. . It is different from the skills associated with construction. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art.

Architecture is created only to fulfil the specifications of an individual or group. So the types of architecture depend upon social formations and may be classified according to the role of the patron in the community. The types that will be discussed here—domestic, religious, governmental, recreational, welfare and educational, and commercial and industrial—represent the simplest classification; a scientific typology of architecture would require a more detailed analysis.
Domestic architecture is produced for the social unit: the individual, family, or clan and their dependents, human and animal. As wealth and expressive functions increase, a special type of domestic building can be distinguished that may be called power architecture.

A third type of domestic architecture accommodates the group rather than the unit and is therefore public as well as private this is called group architecture.
Many cities have awesome architecture some of them are: St. Petersburg, Russia: Rococo, Brasilia, Brazil: Futurism, Athens, Greece: Classical, Budapest, Hungary: Art Nouveau etc..

Even though we say that these cities are known for best architecture what I would say is that the ancient architects who built the big temples with not many equipment are the best architects. Some of the temples are-
Ramanathaswamy Temple, Rameshwar which is in a typical Dravidian style temple with spires touching the skyline, this temple has the largest hallway of all. It has a 4000-feet long pillared corridor with over 4000 pillars.
Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai – It is the most Exquisite example of Traditional Dravidian Temple Architecture. It has total 12 really tall gopurams (towers), the tallest one being as high as 50 metres.it was built in the 6th century BC by survivors of the Kumari Kandam.
